Editorial Review / Publisher's Information:
Product Description
With more than 100,000 copies sold of his self-published book, The Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton teams up with Hay House to bring his message to an even wider audience. This book is a groundbreaking work in the field of new biology, and it will forever change how you think about thinking. Through the research of Dr. Lipton and other leading-edge scientists, stunning new discoveries have been made about the interaction between your mind and body and the processes by which cells receive information. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts. Using simple language, illustrations, humor, and everyday examples, he demonstrates how the new science of Epigenetics is revolutionizing our understanding of the link between mind and matter and the profound effects it has on our personal lives and the collective life of our species.

I Feel Hoodwinked
03 July, 2010
I'm embarrassed to have spent money buying this book. Perhaps if it had more appropriately been titled Mr Lipton's Ego Trip, I would have been better forewarned. Instead of simply presenting his scientific information he tries some kind of smoke and mirror trick trying to distract or emotionally incite the reader against scientific dogma and evil scientists hoping you won't notice that he does not ever actually present the biology of belief.
One of his evil scientists is Darwin. He erroneously characterizes Darwin's ideas and attributes push button sayings such as "dog eat dog" to Darwin. Instead these perspectives should be appropriately contributed to the non-scientific Social Darwinist's who misunderstood and misused Darwin's ideas. Darwin was a man of awe of the biological world and presented ideas not dogma as Lipton portrays. Lipton seems to want to set his scene with "bad scientists" and of course he is the good and enlightened and wondrous scientist.
Lipton puts down practically every scientist except himself. Though he writes about how our beliefs affect our biology he presents NO scientific evidence. Always in the NEXT chapter he will explain.
I found myself believing Lipton had cobbled together this book of "biology and science" with a false claim of new information, for the primary purpose of selling books, lectures, and programs to make money and not to enlighten. This is about the strongest reaction I've ever had to a book and I plan to stop my copy from circulating in this universe by taking it to my recycling center.

Mind-openning
03 July, 2010
This was extremely well written and is easy for the lay person to understand, but does not patronize or talk down to you. I am a massage therapist and have been into alternative healing and on a spiritual quest for years. My husband, a PhD, on the other hand is a scientist, and is agnostic. He is a retired reseach physicist, but as a hobby has studied genetics and evolution. I gave him the book to read after I had finished it and he also found it extremely profound. It has been the closest thing to bringing our beliefs to be on a the same page. Highly recommended!

Biology Of Belief, Bruce Lipton
05 July, 2010
What is new to me is the biological information from his research. It reinforces that we live in a community and need the help and support of that community to become the best we can be.
Lipton's writing is clear and interesting. His personal story is motivating. Sometimes I had to reread some of the technical material, it was clear buy my mind had to take time to grasp the real meaning. I like that. Its nice to have the biological support what what I have know and taught for a long time.

Important Groundbreaking Book
19 July, 2010
This is a great introduction to the new biology of "epigenetics." It introduces us to research that reveals the power of consciousness/environment in the creation of health and well-being. The book conveys the science in an accessible manner for the layperson. Highly recommended.
